I do not know if the shift linkage cable is an exact direct connect to those older model's but should be difficult. Used Evinrude OEM /Factory tiller handle setup off of my 2005 90hp model E65JDPLSOS. It is a 90hp three cylinder with factory installed Jet pump model. Late 60 and 70hp Evinrude two stroke 3 cylinders with system check wiring will accept a direct plug in for the electrical portion of controls.
