We dip and clean all parts listed, besides electronics carbs, use a brass wire wheel on most parts, or hand brush if necessary. Spring is nice and tight works fine with plenty of tension.

This listing for the complete rewind recoil rope starter housing taken from a 1969 Mercury 350 35hp, but should fit plenty of motors. We took the handle apart and cut about 4 inches off of rope tip to remove a weak spot, so in retainer is under fresh new bind.
