This is guaranteed. The cowl fits many Mercury or Mariner outboard motors from with a 40 hp engine. It is not dried or cracked.

This upper cowling is in great condition.

If you are not sure this is the right part for you, please with your year and serial number. I tried to get some pictures of them.

All the decals are present and not faded. It is graphite gray in color. There are some minor scuffs on the cowl. There is no structural damage to the cowl.

The Mercury part numbers are2198-9868a12 and2198-9868t12. T184g Marie. The inner back is missing sound blanket.

The rubber seal is present and intact.
